I was recently in touch with you regarding the fact that my father, Harry Ehmann, is included in some of the pictures posted on your website from your father's CC photo album. My brother and I have shared some of those pictures from your CCC photo pages with dad and it has been the highlight of his winter. He remembers more "boys" every day ...." Marleen Ehmann Bussma

Dear Ed, I'll tell you it's something to get so many pictures of the boys that were in the C's. The thing is I don't know too many by the picture. I remember a lot of them by name.... I ran the laundry most of the time I was there. When I was done with the laundry I helped Roholt in the supply room. When new boys would come, I'd help issue clothes. There were so many boys coming and going every three months. When I first left camp I kep in touch with a few, with Brandens, McCaskey and Bill Murche. I and Rieny Wiedrich still keep in touch by letters and phone.... There is an Ed Remich that lives on . He said he knows you and you moved to Montana...." I can identify my dad and uncle. They are Julean and Stanley
Lee. My dad, Julean, is on p. 13 Group 5 Top Row from the left. He
passed away 8-28-2003. My ncle Staley, is on p. 14 Group 9 Botton row
and 4th rom the left5. He lives near Seattle, WA.
I noticed on your index that Stanely's last name is misspelled (Leey). And also his home town is not Marvey, but Harvey. I've reaelly enjoyed this site and have gotten Walt Rivinius connected also. He is going to be 86 this August. He lived in Moorehead. Brenda Schwanke, tbtrees@meltel.net , dated 28 Narcg 2005 |

In a message dated 8/17/05 7:39:20 AM, pvaagen@bis.midco.net writes: I am writing on behalf of Earl Fasching. We just found thie CCC website today, and I don't know if it is still active or not. Earl was pictured on page 45, picture #89, but the other two men were not identified. Earl was able to identify them, and they are Joseph Frank on the left and Hollis Chilson in the middle. He also remembers Ed Remmick very well. We may try to identify others using Earl's scrapbook, which has captions for each picture. If you have any questions, please contact me at this website, and I will be happy to forward any messages you may have for Earl.
Thanks! Peggy Vaagen
