Sad News

We lost our most popular hen, who greeted our guests at the gate and allowed our guests to pet her and pick her up).  A predator, probabaly a red tailed hawk, killed on the 21st of July.  The other chickens were so fighten that they have stopped laying eggs, accept one hen.

This will not be the last time a red tailed hawk will kill in our chicken yard.
