Question #1
I remember the Ehrhardt Family Thanks Giving dinner always being at Grandma and Grandpa Ehrhardt House. Tables where put together so all six of my Uncles and Aunts could sit together and all of the 14 Grand Children( at the time) could sit together. The Major treat was Grandma's Butter Ball Soup. A Chicken Broth base with Home Made Thin noodles and of course her famous Butter Ball's. a Bread and Butter and Spice mixture rolled up into small Balls and cooked with the other ingredients. Yes we had Turkey and Dressing and Mashed Potatoes, Creamed onions, mixed veggies and home made bread plus some really awesome Pie and Cake for desert. But the Soup was a must. With out this soup even today, it really is not a Thanks giving dinner to me. All of The Girl cousins now have this recipe and have promised to pass it on to their children and so forth. One you finished with that Thanks Giving Dinner you knew in your heart and sole that all was right with the world.

Sadly I do not have any photos with myself and Santa. Being A photographer you may find that funny but I always found Santa very shy about having his Photo Taken with me. Over the year I have Photographed Santa but not with me. Could it be That I am Santa??? HO HO HO.

It all depends.. Do we intend to win this war or not? If we really want to win this war, we have the world best Army that is trained to kill people and break thing.
Let them do their job to kill all the people that need killing and Break all the things that need to be broken. Then leave. Or leave next week and be prepared to fight this war again in 5 to 10 years.

I think we all should read this plan before be vote on it. The Selling point for this plan is that over 12 million people are without health care and so the knee jerk reaction is to overhaul the other 288 million people health care. So it will BE FAIR. And the Price??? We Really don't know.
If 12 Million people are without health care, we would be better off putting up $1,000,000 for each person identified as being without health care and give them a Debit Card to use this money only for Dr, prescription and Hospital bills only. It these people, now 12 million of them, are without money in a year, put up another $1,000,000 next year to keep them going. This would cost us about the same amount a one F-16 Jet . WE can Afford an extra F-16 Jet each year.
Now how hard was that? OH. And those people who accept the Debit Card, will pay income tax on that medical expense they that they incur Each year. And they can use the tax expense they pay on these funds as a deduction on their income tax filing.
It will take me some time to write this up in 50,000 pages to be presented as a bill in Congress, but in a nutshell This is how it could work. Give or take a couple of Earmarks
Wow: What deep questions. I will love to see how our class responded. Good job..

Hi Judy ...
I'll take on 2 of the questions...
After I retired I went to the local Community College and took cooking classes ... my favorite recipe is for the Almond Pecan Praline Cookies that we made in the baking class ... it's a pecan shortbread with an almond praline candy mixed in. The praline melts when you bake them off. It was always the #1 best seller in the school's bakery and now can be yours too !! Recipe attached.
I'm with Clyde on the war in Afghanistan ... I personally experienced the war in Viet Nam where our leaders did not provide us the resources to win so we dithered around and continued to lose American lives until we finally pulled out.
I personally vowed then to never support a war nor leaders that waged a war that committed American lives but that we were 100% committed to win. We should either give the military 100% of what they need to succeed or pull out now and not risk one more American life. President Obama should be talking with Gen. McChrystal and making up his mind rather that gallivanting around Asia proclaiming himself as the Pacific President.

#4 Nope--we should get them all out!
#5 Think it is probably the best we can do for now. Like Social Security which passed in the thirties--it had to later add government employees and farmers. We can tweak the Health Plan later as we need to.
Your thoughts are???
