The one Inrid Reule belives is the father of Johan Schweikert b. Jan. 1816:

NOTE: Because Michael Wilhelm Schweikert and his wife both died leaving
small children, Johann b. 1816 would have been just five years old, his closet
relative may have been Georg who may have been grandfather or a great
uncle or a cousin who took him into his home and raised him...
Konrad Schweikert is, also, mentioned in family tales.
Maria Ensmigner may have been Michael Wilhelm Schweikert's second wife. |
Ensminger Family Research:

History of Georg Schweikert Family Legend: Georg Schweikert was taken into the Napoleon Army and served until 1808 as a blacksmith and wheelright.... It has been told that he had been wounded in the Battle of Golymin on 26 Dec 1806 [Poland n. of Warsaw] and migrated to Gross Liebental (Grossliebental) / Odessa where he had family, maybe a daughter, who was already living in this German-Russian Colony. His son Michael Wilhlem Schweikert remained in the service of the Napoleon's Army with his uncles / brother s Konrad and Johann Schweikert . We are fortunate that the Stumpp Book not only lists Georg Schweikert, it also gives us his passport information: At the age of 50 was given a passport in a "foreign land" in 1808 and arrived in Gross Liebental / Od. in 1811, No wife or children are mentioned in his migration. The family may have been originally from Schweikharthausen / Budingen, Hesse [old German state] and one of our ancestors may have been a Hessen mercenary hired by King Georg of England and may have fought in the American Revolution under an officer by the name of Fox. There are two other Schweikert's mentioned living in Gross Liebental [Grossliebental] / Od. after 1814. They were: 1. Martin Schweikert , 28, and his wife Friedericka __NN__, 24 fr. Fruedenstadt-Wu. in 1814. 2. Christoph Schweikert, who's connected to Martin Schweikert, age 32 with his wife Justina __NN__, 21 who migr. fr. Poland in 1814.

Recently stumbled over a Schweikert family listed on ancestry.com which may or may not prove to be family. However, just in case they are related I have them on my ancestry.com list under Johann Georg Schweikert (Affaltrach Clan) b. 3 Jan 1793 Wuerttemerger Hof / Schwabish Hall, Baden-Wuerttemberg. Although This family had migr. from the Heibroon area where our Schwiekerts had. Plus Schwabish Hall is where the Butz family had migr. and our ancestor Johann Schweickert / Schweikert b. Jan 1816 in Borodino married Margaret Butz who's ancester Chrisian Butz b. Jan 1716 in Schwabish Hall..... Coincidence or family? I do not know at this time.
