<< Dear RemMick@aol.com, First let me introduce myself as someone trying to research his family's history. I came upon your email address while researching Baron Frederick von der Trenck (b. 2/17/1726), who I believe I may be a descendant of. So far, the web pages you have published have provided me with more information about the von der Trenck family than anything else. Unfortunately I've been coming up short with any further research and can't find information on descendants of Frederick other than his sons. Do you, by any chance, have any information on any grandson that Frederick von der Trenck had? I think that my grandmother once told me that I am a descendant of Frederick from his second marriage with Maria de Broe, but I don't have any other information. If you knew anything else about Frederick's grandchildren it could greatly help me possibly connect myself to him. Thank you for your time, Michael TrenckConnecticut

Desar Lady Remmick,
Tammy tells me she and you collaborated a bit on the Trenkmann geneology. I looked it up and was happy to learn more about my father's family. His name is Edward Trenkmann, Sr. My brother, who is a year younger than I, has the same name but "Jr." at the end.
My name is Suzanne. I know my father was one of nine. He came over in l868. Apparently a Robert Trenkmann came over the year before who had a son with his wife, Phillipina. He helped my grandfather run some rental property. My Grandfather married into a family that owned some buildings. When Grandfather August died, his wife, Wilhelmina , incorporated the business. It is still family operated today.
My mother's name was Marjorie Jean Scudder. She was one of the four Scudder girls from Evanston, Illinois. They descend from a Thomas Scudder who came over on the Arabella in the l630's when it took months to get here before the steam engine. Your later reference to "Scunner " has her confused with another. We think Scudder is probably originally a Dutch name. Just as here, they had to get to England from somewhere else.
My daughters (5) and I are very impressed with having a Royal Princess such as Anna Amalie Hohenzollern and Count von der Trenck as ggg Grandparents. It all seems to make a lot of sense. Two of my pregnancies were twins. Altogether I have ten children.
Only one so far has visited Europe. At the time, the wall was still up and our relatives mentioned relatives on the other side. Next time, they will hopefully have more freedom. It was nice that you got there, but how sad a place. I hope you saw the family castle in Pottsdam.
Cordiall,y your no longer lost cousin, Suzanne T. Prager

To Judy Remmick-Hubert
From Kurt Trenkmann, son of Ed Trenkmann Jr.
who was son of Ed Trenkmann Sr. who was son of August Trenkmann.
I've been working on my genealogy -
Most of it is completed, I'm missing afew facts:
UNKNOWN: mother of Johann Andreas Trenkmann (Johann's father was Friedrch von der Trenck).
UNKOWN: Year of death of Johann Andreas Trenkmann.
Also curious as to why/how name change occurred from von der Trenck to Trenkmann.
I've been using about 8 sources two of which you might be interested in:
1) Friedrich von der Trenck's autobiography.
2) book entitled; "Trenck" by Bruno Frank written 1928.
I am know searching for biographies of Friedrich von der Trenck.
A 2002 Eurpoean movie was released on life of Friedrich von der Trenck.
As an aside, my father visited Paris afew years ago.
He stated that on a cool day, he walked towards the guillotine area where Friedrcih met
his fate; my dad broke out into a cold nervous sweat. He walked away & felt better.
He again walked towards the guillotine area & experienced the same cold nervous sweat.
I have attached a Lotus file of my reseach; birth & death dates/locations.
Thank you for your time.

Judy-
I've been working with Tammy Trenkmann.
Appears Karl Robert Trenkmann, born 1834 is NOT a son of Johann Heinrich Ludwig Trenkmann - we're still working on this.
You can enter my name as web informant.
I will send you an updated family tree diagram when available.
Thanks,

Dear Judy- I am the daughter of Suzanne Trenckmann. Please correct her marriages. She was 1st married to my father, Robert Jay Seymour in 1948. They had seven children which includes me. She later married Henry Harasymzuk, and then Prager. I had discovered your website a couple years ago and was pleasantly surprised with all the info, but the connection between Frederick Trenck and Johann Andreas Trenckmann seems sketchy, especially with the mother unknown. Trenck states in his autobiography that he did not believe in casual affairs with women. So Johann's mother would have been someone significant in his life?
Thank you, Carol Seymour Ohmen

Dear Judy,
I realize this is a minor point, but I'd very much like my father to be added to the Trenkmann family tree on your website (linked below). My father was Stephen Anthony Trenkmann (b. 1947? d. 1980), son of Richard J. Trenkmann, and brother of Richard S. Trenkmann and Pamela E. Trenkmann.

I also wanted to say thank you for taking the time to compile all of the family information on a central source.
Best regards,
