Ueberlingen. Presently in Bodenseekreis,
Baden-Wuerttemberg. Formerly Reichsstadt. Member of the Catholic
corpus at the Peace of Westphalia (1646). Formerly Landkreis. In
1803 the city was absorbed by Baden [des. of Berchtold I, Duke
of Zaehringen]. 1870 joined the German Empire... Prince Max of Baden
[Baden-Durlach lineage] was the last chancellor of the Empire in 1918. His
grandson Max was listed as Margrave of Baden...
Ulm. Presently in Alb-Donau-Kreis,
Baden-Wuerttemberg on the left bank [old town] of the Danube... and
right bank [new town] where the tributary of the Balu River connects....
Charter in 1164.. Formerly Reichsstadt (1274). Important trading
town because of its location on the Danube..... Was the Upper Swabian Baroque
Highway.... By 1530 the great majority of the burghers were Protestants
while the Catholic remained in the "outposts" of Soeflingen and Wiblingen...
At the Peace of Westphalia it's members were Protestant. Formerly
lankreis... In 1802 the territory went to Bavaria and in 1810 it was transferred
to Wuerttemberg.
Note: Many uber schachtel[wood boats] carried German emigrants on the Danube to the frontiers of Austria-Hungary and later to Russia.... Family was admitted into the Grafenkolleg in 1654 but were soon,
thereafter, rejected after they held no longer held an estate directly
of the Kaiser's...

Urspring (Ursberg, Ursperg). Presently
part of the town of Schelklingen, Alb-Donau,Kreis, Baden-Wuerttemberg [ which
is west of Steingaden and near Trauchgau and the royal Schoesser of Honeschwangau
(12 c. by Swan Knights) and Neuschwanstein. Formerly prelated
nullius. Was associated with the estate of Herrschaft Berg who
owned the territory from 1343 to 1806 then it was transferred to Austria
and in the same year was absorbed by
Wuerrtemberg.
Usingen. Presently in Hochtaunuskreis, Hessen
. From ___ to 1816 the ruling family was Counts von Nassau-Usingen

Utrecht. Presently in Netherlands. Formerly
bishopric. Spain then the Netherlands held possession of this
territory.
